John Adams

Major "Events" of his Presidency:
- John Adams had been the second President of the nation with Thomas Jefferson as his Vice President for his term.
- Term as president lasted from 1791-1801.
- Adams defended the eight soldiers accused of committing the Boston Massacre. He had been able to gain an acquittal for six of the eight soldiers.
- Adams had served in both the first and second Continental Congress.
Major "Events" of his Presidency:
- Signed the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798.
- Appointed John Marshall to the Supreme Court.
- Appointed George Washington as the leader of the continental Army outside of Boston.
- XYZ Affair took place and led to the Quasi-War of 1798 to 1800.
- Used Diplomacy to end the Quasi-War.
- Raised militia of 80,000 for defensive purposes.
